Project Background
The client, a leading MNC in the FMCG industry aimed to consolidate the payroll from multiple smaller players with diverse policies into one umbrella. The goal was to ensure timely payouts, statutory compliances and adherence to standardized policies.
Challenge
Coordinating the transition required involvement of multiple parties: Client Head Office, local and regional sales teams, distributors, as well as the other agencies. Teams were dispersed across remote locations in India with multiple language requirements. They were also on multiple payrolls with varying payment cycles and policies.
Our Approach
A comprehensive transition plan with timelines was developed and shared with all stakeholders. Salary mapping was conducted to ensure compliance with labour laws. Salaries were adjusted where necessary to facilitate compliance management while safeguarding employees’ take-home pay. Policies were standardized, and local language townhalls were conducted for employee briefing and query resolution.
